Thoughts from Your Trip Leader

So you want to kayak with us in Belize…..welcome aboard, but be advised that you may begin a journey that returns you here over and over again. I personally fell in love with Belize on a work assignment 10 years ago and have been continually drawn back every year since.. I should preface that I have had the good fortune and opportunity to live in many exotic places on this beautiful planet, and yet Belize tends to draw me back year after year.

You will often hear Richard, my Belizean kayaking assistant, friend and noble man, say as he approaches you with a big warm smile” Be Happy mannnnn”…..and he really means it! As you will find on this trip, it doesn’t take a whole lot to make you happy. When you are surrounded by Mother Nature’s artistry and her palette of rich colors so intense they vibrate, when you look out across white coral beaches to the fringing reefs bathed in crystal clear water to see distant unknown cayes, and when you are continually bathed in the warmth of friendly smiles from the staff, it’s pretty easy to be happy.

Without a doubt, I am drawn back yearly to Belize for the very things I mentioned, that is, the richness of color and drama in Mother Nature’s Landscape, the genuine warmth of its’ people and their gracious hospitality, and for its’ culturally diverse country rich in history.

As your trip leader in Belize I sincerely hope to share with you during the coming week some of my passion I have for Belize, its lovely people and its’ incredible landscape. As a trip leader, my first priority will always be your safety; secondarily, to facilitate a memorable experience of pleasure and fun.
